Season Ending Comments from the Drivers:
Well it has been quite a year for the Plaid #19. In our first year we have
had so much to accomplish and we have met every challenge head on. From cookbooks
to pit road...support to sorrow, the Plaid #19 has seen it all and together we have
made it through.
Our cookbooks were a lot of work, but the wonderful response to the project and
the sizeable donation raised made all of the time and effort spent worth it.
We have other efforts in the works for 2008 so be watching for it.
The loss of our youngest team member, Kyla Miller, to brain cancer is some thing that
we will never forget. While it was truly a tragic loss for her family, friends
and us, we know she will be guiding us along the way.
Champions have been crowned and two of those crowns belong to Winstead Motorsports
who drive what has become known as the "Plaid #99". Many a night the #99 shown
brightly in Victory Lane, sparking even more interest in Autism Awareness. A well run season which ended with a dual championship...
Orange County Speedway Champion
Rolling Thunder Modifieds Champion
Quite a finish to a season that started with a series of DNF's.
But, that is the Plaid #19, we never give up no matter what.
The Plaid #19 wishes to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us and helped us to obtain our goals in our first year. We couldn't have
done it without you.
On behalf of the Plaid #19 we would like to wish everyone a very happy and safe
holiday season.
